Virtual design of an injection system for aerosols in air channels
Our client was developing a new system for aerosol injection in air channels. We helped with finding the optimal nozzle configuration and design using virtual testing.
The model accounted for:
- Real nozzle and channel geometry
- Real air flow rates
- Aerosol evaporation during transport throughout the channel
- The hange of aerosol trajectories due to gravity
Around 10 different design scenarios with varying nozzle placements, configurations and air flow rates were run. The optimal configuration was found and succesfully implemented in practice.
